My Favorite Things

MFT February Release New Product Launch

Happy Release Day with My Favorite Things! YAYAYAY! I love this month’s release so, so much, and hope you enjoyed it as well. I always wish I am able to find more time to make more cards to share with all of you, but my day job keeps me pretty busy. But, I have one more today (and of course, more throughout the month), to give you little more inspiration with this month’s products.

These swans, wow! So beautiful. I think of serenity when I see swans. They are just such beautiful creatures. I wanted to create a family of them, so I stamped two of the large swans, and three of the smaller ones. We got a teenager in there! Haha. I stamped them in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored them up with copics. Funny enough, I find coloring white colored animals more tricky since I don’t want it to look just plain flat, so I needed to color is shading. I also stamped a few foliage here to decorate the scene with. I die cut everything with the coordinating Die-namics.

Adding a frame always creates a more polished look. It’s almost like having a painting hung up on a wall. I reached for our new Die-namics Single Stitch Line Tag-Corner Rectangle Frames. Whew, that was a mouthful. Lol. I die cut the frame 4x and layered together. You can do that, or use craft foam, or just cut little foam tape pieces. I found layering the four layers much more sturdy, and you don’t have issues with craft foam being stretched a little bigger. I did a very simple blended background using Broken China, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot distress oxide inks.

Lastly, before I assembled it all together, is the sentiment. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in silver. I assembled the scene on top of a soft colored gingham pattern paper from the Homespun Gingham Paper Pack. Gingham looks good with everything.

I hope you enjoyed all the projects throughout the countdown today and look forward to seeing what you create with February Release products! All products are now available in the MFT store!

Happy shopping,

Supplies
