It’s time for this month’s My Favorite Things Release Replay, my favorite post of the month! I loved all the pet related stamps and dies that were release this month, and I knew I just had to create a card for all my pet loving friends.
I dedicate this card to my own dog and my friend’s cat, haha. I love basing my coloring of pets off of our furry friends. My dog is the white one with the brown spots! He has various freckles too. Comes from his cattle dog mix, and he has blue eyes from his husky genes too, but I couldn’t quite capture all of it in this card. But I tried!
Anyways, I started by blending a background of Wilter Violet, Worn Lipstick, and Spiced Marmalade oxide inks. Then on a separte white card stock, I die cut two of the large paw prints to serve as windows that will show the blending behind it. With latte dye ink, I stamped paw prints all over the card.
The pets were stamped in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and then colored with copic markers. The sentiment was from the same set, which I stamped in Versamark ink onto kraft card stock and heat embossed it in white. I die cut a little fishtail banner out.
I adhered the paw print panel with foam tape over the blended piece. Then I also used foam tape on the pets and the sentiment strip.
