Hooray it’s release day! The My Favorite Things November 2018 release is now available in the MFT Boutique. Today the MFT team is joining with some friends to bring you some more inspiration with the November 2018 release.
The penguins from the Snow Special stamp set is too, too cute! I used this set in today’s project to create a frosty scene with all the penguins skating across the card (and one ice fishing!).
My images were stamped in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. Then, they were all die cut with the coordinating dies.
I blended a background with Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio distress oxide inks. The blended colors always come out slightly lighter than the stamped color, so I used the same two inks to stamp snow flake images to get a tone on tone look.
Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Beary Best Friends stamp set in silver in the bottom right corner. With an idea of where I planned to place the penguins, I also stamped a few skating marks onto the background in Cornflower dye ink.
I added my penguins last with foam tape, and then mounted my completed piece onto an A2 white card base. If you haven’t already, stop by the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the team and friends. Thanks for joining me in the release countdown and see you next time!
