Yippee! Happy 5th Birthday to Pretty Pink Posh! I remember so well when I first saw this company begin selling their sweet sequin mixes, and not too long after their first stamps and dies. Paulina has grown this company tremendously and the talent embodied in this company and their designers are incredible. Cheers to another fabulous year girls!
To celebrate this milestone, PPP has a big 3-day blog hop, and today is the first day of that big party. I got in quite a creative streak when I started working with the January Release products and made three cards to share with you today! This first one features the Pinata Party stamp and dies and Celebrate Shaker Die.
I first blended a ink blended panel with distress oxide inks, then I die cut the Celebrate Shaker Die out of it. I used the same die out of white card stock, and inlaid it into the ink blended background. The ink blended piece is kept and added to the base of the card in the same position.
I added a bunch of sequins and jewels to the shaker area from the new Party Jewels Mix and Sugar Plum Jewels Mix, picking out the pink, purple, and iridescent ones. I also added some extra glitter sequins from my personal stash for extra variety.
I sealed the shaker off with a double layer of foam. The jewels are a lititle bulkier, so the double layer helps to keep the card flush and also give it room for shaking! Once the shaker portion was done, I can finally add the rest of the images to my card with liquid adheisve or foam tape.
This next card features the set called Cupcake Critters. I admit I was most excited when I saw this set. Critters and cupcake, yes please! I stamped the images in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out.
I created a simple ombre background with distress oxide inks that coordinaed with my ombre cupcakes. I used the Happy Birthday Scrip Die to die cut my sentiment in white and added this to the top half the card.
Next, I added my images to the card with foam squares. I picked out some of the clear jewels out of the Sugar Plum Jewels Mix to add some final embellishments to my card. How sweet is this card?
I had an extra birthday bear colored while working with the Cupcake Critters stamp set and I didn’t want to go to waste, so I created a simple card with it.
I again ink blended a background that matched the cupcake the bear was holding, and then heat embossed the words ‘happy birthday’ in white from the Pinata Party stamp set. Then, I die cut this panel out using the Decorative Tag 2 dies.
I added this against a soft thick striped pattern paper (retired MFT pattern paper) over foam tape. Then gave it some wooden stars for final touches. Simple but nontheless sweet!
