Happy Monday folks! This week will be packed with tons of inspiration with Mama Elephant, and we begin the Stamp Highlight series with The Birthday Bash!
Large stamped images are great for easy card designs, and how awesome is it that you can create a scene with a giant pile of presents and critters without masking anything at all?! I stamped the images and a couple extra accessories in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers, then die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
I tend to pick out colors as I’m coloring, and with what I had going on, I went for a coordinated ombre ink blended background using distress oxide inks.
I really loved the new sentiment die cuts this month as well. I used the Big Happy Birthday Creative Cuts die cut out of white card stock three times and layered together. I love the added dimension. The sentiment was added to the top half of the card, while the images completed the bottom half of the card.
I tucked some extra presents and balloons behind the pile of presents. The images were added last to the card with foam tape. Who wouldn’t want a birthday like that!
