Hello there! For those in the US, hooray you made it past tax day! As an accountant, it’s my least favorite time of the year since the months preceding is super busy. But, once you get through it, it’s amazing! Based on the preceding, you can probably deduct that I work in an office and at a computer all day long, which makes today’s feature set called Office Birthday absolutely fitting for me and any others that share a similar work environment!
If you don’t work in office, perhaps you have seen the show The Office? Hilarious series if you haven’t! This set by Liz Mytinger is just the cutest. Not only do I love her work in general, but the chubby hamsters really drew me in! I stamped all the images from Office Birthday in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored it up with copic markers. Then, I used the matching dies to cut them out.
I used post-it tape to divide up the background for my ink blending to create a table surface. I heat embossed the sentiment in white towards the bottom and used a grey color pencil to add some shading to the keys.
The images were then arranged and added to the card last with foam tape. Do you relate to any of the hamsters? I am definitely the glasses wearing one holding a mug. I am always drinking tea or coffee throughout the day and I wear glasses most of the time!
