Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash May Challenge

Over at Reverse Confetti, the current monthly challenge theme is birthday! It is their birthday month (and mine!) so it totally the perfect time for this challenge. After all, there’s always a reason to make more birthday cards so join us in this month’s challenge and maybe win a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store while you’re at it!

I used images from the Party Animals and Cake & Champagne sets for this card. The images were stamped in a dark brown hybrid ink, colored with copic markers, and die cut out with the coordinating dies. The cake was further embellished with Gold Luxe Nuvo Dream Drops in the center of the bow and to create faux lit candles.

I created an ink blended background with Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Victorian Velet distress oxide inks. It was then die cut with a stitched rectangle and then backed against a striped pattern paper from the Sweet Stripes paper pack.

The sentiment is from the Cake & Champagne set stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed in white onto kraft card stock. I used a fishtail die to die cut the little banner out but it is just as easy to cut this out with scissors. I added all the images and the sentiment banner to the card with foam tape.

To play along, head on over to the this Reverse Confetti blog post and link up your creation! You may enter as many times as you wish and be sure to use the hashtag #SYSChallenge on social media!

  1. So super cute~

  2. I love the purple/blue transition against the pop of orange. I would never think to put those colors together, but they work!
