My Favorite Things

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 438

There’s a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at My Favorite Things and I’ve made a project using this week’s sketch to share with you! Here’s what this week’s sketch looks like:

It’s definitely a layout I probably would not have thought of myself so it was interesting to play around with what I’d want to do with it. I like to also take the opportunity to reach for stamp images I have not had a chance to play with yet and I picked out these two foxes from SY Friendly Foxes as they were great for making a Father’s Day card too.

I stamped the images in Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and colored it with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out.

Next I imitated the layout of the sketch by using Blueprints 33 Die-namics. If you don’t have this die to get the same shape as the sketch, you can also just use rectangles or squares to create a similar result. On the smaller panel, I ink blended to match the accessories worn by the fox and stamped the sentiment towards the bottom.

The second layer behind that is die cut with the larger stitched panel from the Blueprints using Natural card stock. And then behind that I cut down a sheet of pattern paper from Petite Plaid Paper Pack to an A2 size. I was happy to find a pattern paper that just so happens paired with the color scheme I had going on!

It’s a pretty sweet and simple layout, and I like how it turned out! Head on over to the MFT Blog to check out more inspirations from the team and create with us for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique!
