I’ve seen so many posts out there using the Gina K Wreath Builder Templates and I finally had the chance to try it out for myself and it was definitely very fun to work with! This template makes wreath building very easily and pretty much guarantees that your wreath will be perfectly lined up.
Rather than use florals to build my wreath, I had an idea to use some of the stamps from BB Fab-BOO-lous Friends, and I know what you’re thinking…Halloween, really? Too early! Well, yes I agree with you there, but it was the perfect set that came to my mind! I used the various images in the set to create the wreath and stamped them in Extreme Black ink. Everything’s in black so no masking needed, and to make it more interesting, I didn’t always stamp every rotation, sometimes every other rotation.
I didn’t exactly what the card to look too symmetrical so I added so fun splatters to it with black watercolor. Then, I colored up some of the ghosts from the set and arranged them in the center of the wreath. Below it is where I added the sentiment that was heat embossed in white onto Gravel Grey card stock and die cut with the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics.
I probably should have also mentioned that the stamped panel was 4″x4″ so I backed it against a 4.25″x4.25″ pattern paper from the Black & White Stripes Paper Pack. This was also added to a white base card that was 4.25″x4.25″. This was fun and I’ll definitely use this template again in some future projects!
OMG – I never thought of a Halloween one but this is so cute!! My sister’s birthday is on Halloween so this idea will be perfect to make a card for her!!
Yay!! So happy you like it and some early Halloween inspiration was just perfect for you!
