MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #448

Time for a new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! This week’s challenge #448 has a clean layout and leaves a lot of room for all sorts of creativity. The simple three stripes across the left top corner add decorative piece to your layout while keeping the rest of the card open to add florals, create scenes, or even just have a nice bold sentiment.

I decided to work with the Flower in Bloom set by heat embossing the floral image in gold and then copic coloring it. Then, I used the matching Die-namics to cut out the image.

For the background, I ink blended on a piece of bristol paper bottom up with Bundled Sage distress oxide ink and add some splatter for interest. In the top left corner I added three thin strips of Gold Sparkle card stock that I had created with just a paper trimmer.

For the sentiment, I used the Sweet Hello Die-namics. The word was die cut out of Gold Sparkle card stock and the outline was die cut out of vellum. Hope this inspires you to join us this week on the MFT blog for the challenge!

  1. Keeway, you make the most beautiful cards and this is no exception. I love the colors, you seem to make the cards come alive.
