Have you seen the newest Merry & Bright collection from Tonic Studios? This beautiful collection of products include all the Nuvo and Craft Perfect products in bright and festive colors, perfect to jumpstart your holiday crafting this year! One of my all-time favorite products from Tonic Studios is the Nuvo drop line and the Merry & Bright collection introduces to us a few new colors, including Blushing Red Nuvo Crystal Drop, Red Sunstone Nuvo Glitter Drops, Silver Cristal Nuvo Glitter Drop, and Aqua Plains Nuvo Jewel Drops. I’ve used many of the new drops along with a couple older ones to create this simple and clean modern holiday card.
I started with the Merry & Bright 6×6 Card Pack, using the soft gray pattern paper and sized it down to 4″ by 5.25″ with a paper trimmer. Then, I picked up some white paint with my paint brush to add white paint splatter to the pattern paper.
The wreath was die cut using the Rococo Fern Garland three times out of white card stock and layered together with adhesive for dimension. I then added this directly onto the gray pattern paper. This panel was added to a white card base over craft foam or adhesive for additional dimension.
On a non-stick craft mat, create 6-8 drops of Nuvo embellishment drops in various sizes and set to dry. I had done this step and set it aside to dry overnight. It is important to make sure your drops are completely dry before picking it up! By creating the drops separately instead of adding directly onto the wreath, I am able to ensure that they come out as round drops. When you add Nuvo drops directly onto a surface that is not even and flat, your drops can warp to a distorted shape as the drops moves into the nooks and crannies of an uneven surface before drying.
So once my premade drops were ready to go, I added them to the wreath with the Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. I added a few more drops around the wreath (in flat areas!) for just a few more embellishments.
I kept the front of the clean and simple and included the sentiment inside of the card instead. I love the look of this card and it is friendly for mass producing! Perfect for the holiday season when you need to make many of them to give out.
