Today’s post is part of the Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight of Snow Globe Bitties! These snow globes are just adorable and great for combining with the little agendas, adding images to small tags, building scenes with the giant sets, and in my inspiration today, a shaker card!
Not only is today’s card a shaker card, but it’s designed like a postage stamp! I stamped my die cutting white card stock with the postage frame from Snail Mail CC. I then used the snow globe die from Snow Globe Bitties right in the center of that panel. I used some post it tabe to mask off the edges of my postage and then ink blended top and bottom with Tumbled Glass Distres Oxide ink. I stamped small snowflake images from City Sidwalks with the same ink.
I stamped the snow globe image and a bitty scene on a separate piece of white card stock and colored it with copic markers. I trimmed down this piece just enough to be hidden behind the postage stamp so that it would appear through the window. I lined the area around the snow globe with foam tape and added some flat sequins for the shaker. I sealed off the window with acetate.
I used a red diagonal striped pattern paper as the bottom layer. I die cut the postage stripes and the ‘oh so merry’ sentiment out of gold glitter card stock. The ‘oh so merry’ sentiment die is from the Penguin’s Waddle setand the postage stripes is from Snail Mail CC. These were added last to the card to finish it!
