Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Zodiac Ox

Happy Monday! I hope ya’ll already seen the Mama Elephant November Release last week! If not, we’ll be showcasing more projects with it this week to provide you more inspirations and ideas of these adorable sets. Today we will be kicking off the Stamp Highlight series with the Zodiac Ox. These chubby little cows are just the cutest!

I had so much fun coloring up and playing with these Zodiac Ox. My images were stamped in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored with copic markers. I also used a white gel pen to add some highlights and then used the matching dies to die cut the images out.

I first die cut a large scallop rectangle using the Framed Tags – Chealsea out of white card stock. I had this random idea to spell out “moooo” very loudly in the background. I brought out my Sketchy Letters stamp set to stamp it out, and as I was doing it decided to snake it back and fort until it filled up the entire background.

I added a thin strip of black card stock to the bottom where I plan to have my cow sit/stand on. I also used the speech bubbles from Stackable Cuties and stamped them in black ink and fussy cut them out. I backed the scallop rectangle with some diagonal black striped pattern paper, and added the cow and speech bubble to the card with foam tape. I added a few wooden stars for a little embellishment.

I had so much fun making the first card, I decided to make another version of it. This time I colored the dancing cow and had him hold a cow balloon. I stamped the speech bubble with the words ‘happy b-day!’.

Again, I added the cow to the card with foam tape, this time in the left side of the card. I added a few wooden stars around him for finishing touches! Aren’t these so cute?
