Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Piñata Party

Today’s Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight is focused on the Piñata Party set! This set is illustrated by the talented Aida Zamora and the cute critters in this set just brings a big smile to my face. They show so much joy in their expressions, and look at their adorable mole with the big glasses!

When you got a piñata party, I feel like you have to at least make one shaker card with it!  I started with a simple piece that I had stamped the confett image on three times, and filled a few open spots with the little candy image. I colored these up with copic markers and then gave it a light ink blending from the top. This is going to be our background piece.

Next, I added some foam tape around the outer border and added some color rainbow colored star sequins. I die cut a frame using the Snail Mail Creative Cuts out of white card stock. I used the frame and a piece of actetate to seal off the shaker area. Now we got the shaker portion done!

To build the scene, I stamped and copic colored images from the Piñata Party stamp set, and also borrowed a banner from Sentiments from A Yeti. All iamges were die cut out with their matching dies.

I added the images to the card with liquid adhesive and foam tape. I wanted a simple sentiment so I picked out the ‘celebrate you’ from the stamp set Shall We Dance and heat embossed it in white onto some turqouise card stock. I die cut it out with a sentiment banner and again out of some pattern paper for add a little interest to it. The banners were added vertically from the top right. Hope you enjoy today’s fun inspiration with the Piñata Party set!
