Do you like the color flowers? If so, then this new Altenew monthly subscription called Paint-A-Flower may interest you! This monthly stamp focuses on large lined floral images that are perfect for coloring with your medium of choice. The first stamp set in this monthly subscription is the Poppy!
It’s been a little while since I watercolored, so I took this opportunity to do so! I kept the card clean and simple, and stamped the large poppy floral stem right in the center on watercolor paper. I used my Winsor & Newton watercolors painting both inside and outside of the lines to give it a misty, dreamy look.
When the painting is dry, I gently splattered it with the same paints I was using to color the flower and also a little white gesso paint. After it dried, I also stamped the sentiment in black right next to it.
I trimmed down the panel at 4″ by 5.25″ and mounting it over foam tape on an A2 white base card. I added a few gems for interest to complete the card.
