The Waffle Flower February 2020 Release is now live and we’re excited to share our cardmaking inspirations with you using all these wonderful new products in today’s hop!
Starting with the cutest one of the bunch, the Rejoice Rabbit! This is the newest set from illustrator Big Bear and Bird featuring this cute and floral image absolutely perfect for the Spring. An image this large is fun to color and take front and center on a card making is super easy to put together.
I’ve colored mine with copic markers and set it within a dome frame that I had die cut using the A2 Nested Domes Die. I set it behind an ink blended background and added my image and sentiment with foam tape.
You may recognize this adorable cat from the Be Her Combo from last year’s release. We now see it in die form in this month’s release of the Be A Cat Die. If you prefer die cutting over coloring, this product is definitely for you! I’ve die cut it with some simple card stock and added a bit of ink blending for shading.
I added a simple ink blended background behind it and for the sentiment, I am using the new Rainbow Birthday Die. You gotta love the clean and simple look of this sentiment die and the outline just draws a lot of attention to it.
This next card introduces the newest illustrated set by Karla Jodoin called Potted Lily. Again, the set is perfect for the Spring and great addition to your collection for all floral lovers! I’ve colored mine up with copic markers and used the matching dies to die cut it out.
The background was created with the Plaid Texture Die on white card stock. A bit hard to see in the picture, but in real life it has a beautiful dry embossed look. I also added another layer of plaid, this time creating by stamping it with the Simply Plaids Stamp Set. The sentiment was heat embossed in white and framed using layer created with the Nesting Squares Die.
Lastly, I have for your inspiration with the Jars of Happiness Combo. This is a super sweet and adorable set illustrated by Cassie Loizeaux. There are so many fun images in this set and picked out a few here and colored it with copic markers.
I created a simple background completely ink blended to create a table like top for the jars to sit on. I used the coordinating Jars Sentiments Stamp Set for my sentiment stamped in the top right. I really love this sentiment set even as a standalone set. There are so many great sayings and the font is absolutely adorable.
