Hi ya’ll! This month is a very special release for me because we unveiled my first ever die design called Slim Card Basics! Many of you have probably seen my slimline scene cards in the past and I’ve always really wanted more products out there that offer my design options to make slimline cards, so it seemed like a good idea to bring it all together in an all-in-one kind of die set! You’ll be seeing tons of examples from me all month long, but today we’re going to start of with something simple also featuring the insanely adorable Boba Tea set!
Not only am I obsessed with boba drinks, which already makes this set a winner, but the coordinating dies for this set gives you the option to make these tiny little drink shakers! How cute is that? I’ve stamped all my images in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with copic markers. For the little shakers, I’ve stacked the die cut four times to create enough dimension to include little brown “boba” shaker components and sequin stars.
I used the Slim Card Basics to create the overall layout of this card. I started my cutting a piece of pattern paper down to a 3.5″ by 8.5″ panel and used the stitched slimline rectangle die out of white card stock, of which I ink blended with Cracked Pistachio and Old Paper distress oxide inks. I wanted to continue with a decorate border, so I die cut a piece of soft yellow card stock using the scallop slimeline die and again using the stitched slimeline rectangle to create a little scallop strip. This piece was further ink blended with Dusty Concord distress oxide over a striped stencil to continue the stripey pattern paper look!
The Slim Card Basics is packed full of variety including these little speech bubbles that offer a great place to add sentiments. I used the centered speech bubble die cut out of white card stock and heat embossed the sentiment in silver. All the images were added to the card with foam tape in a whimsical manner. I love the slimline size to give all the room to pack in all the cute boba images. Hope ya’ll enjoy it as much as I do and be sure to let me know if you’ll like to see more designs!
