This month Mama Elephant also released the Zodiac Rooster, and this may be my favorite one of all of them (or perhaps a tie with the Zodiac Ox?). I may have a little bias towards farm animals, but nevertheless, these roosters are so, so cute and I think they are a perfect companion with the Little Chickie Agenda!
With all these chicken running around, I just had to bring them all together in a scene card, and I did so with the Slim Card Basics. The slimline size really gives you more horizontal space to add all the characters in here and these dies have the extra long hill dies to help you.
I colored all my images from Zodiac Rooster and Little Chickie Agenda with copic markers, die cutting them with their matching creative cuts. Then, I worked on the ink blending the background with distress oxide inks and die cutting the large scallop frame and the hillsides with the dies in Slim Card Basics.
You know how when you have a big family gathering and you’re trying to get a group photo and no one can seem to stay still? That was pretty much the idea of what was going on here! The sentiment used here is from the stamp set Picnic with Friends, and I heat embossed it in white in the top left corner.
I hope your family gatherings are a little less chaotic than this, but then again, it’s the chaos that bonds us together and give us funny stories to talk about right? Gotta love it. Anways, thanks for joining me this week, have a lovely Friday, and continue to stay safe and healthy!
