Clearly Besotted May Release Countdown Teasers Day 5

Yay! We’ve made it to the last down of Clearly Besotted May Release Countdown Teasures and just hours away from the release to be live in the shop (and at SSS). I have one more project to share with you and today’s card features the Piggy Plushie Plans stamp set. These sweet little piggies will for sure win your heart!

There are 11 little piggies in this stamp set and I’ve picked out 8 of them to stamp and color with copic markers. Since there’s no coordinating dies with these, again, I use my handy dandy ScanNCut to assist me with cutting the images out.

Since I had this grid-like pig set up already in mind, I figured it would be a great time to pick out a stencil to create a fun background. Clearly Besotted has so many great stencils and I love them all! Here I picked out the Pretty Petals Stencil, and used the medium sized petals to create this ink blended pattern here. To isolate the pattern for each blend, I simply used post its to cover up the areas around that I don’t want color. It may sound tedious, but it is actually really easy and quick! And I love that creating my own backgrounds allow me to have coordinated colors and patterns to my design.

So once your background is done, all there is to add the little piggies onto the card with foam squares and a sentiment. The sentiment I used here is also from the Piggy Plushie Plans stamp set, which I have heat embossed in silver and used a generic small stitched shape to die cut it out. I added the sentiment in the bottom right corner where I left an empty space for it!
