Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Stem and Sprigs

In collaboration with Anna Ozvald, Mama Elephant released a beautiful floral stamp set called Stems and Sprigs. I love the versatility of this set to make easy combination of flowers and with the Botnaic Envelope Creative Cuts released this month as well, you can create a flourishing happy mail. Many of the team designers have showcased those beautifully, and I wanted to use this floral stamp set a little differently by using it to create a floral field!

The flowers are just the right size to easily color, but still remain detailed enough where they look very delicate. I have stamped mine in a copic friendly hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating creative cuts to die cut them out.

Anna also designed a previously released set called Pine and Posy that I have reached for time and time again, and today I used it to create a heat embossed ink blended background behind these flowers to create more depth to this field. I heat embossed it in white, which resisted my ink blending with Peacock Feathers, Bundled Sage, and Antique Linen distress oxide inks. I also used some Tombow markers to color in some of the leaves for variation in colors.

I used the Framed Tags – Lafayette Creative Cuts for my frame here. I die cut it in white and added it over my flower field with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in black ink in the top center and added my die cut colored flowers to the card with foam tape.

I really love everything about this stamp set… the floral stems, the foliage, the various sentiments and even the style of the fonts! It is a gorgeous set and versatile for various occasions. Hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and see you around next time!
