Waffle Flower

Waffle Flower July 2020 New Release Blog Hop + Giveaways

The Waffle Flower July Release is now available! This month we are having Christmas in July! We can always use a mid-year holiday session, especially this year with everything going on. Nothing makes the spirit happier than Christmas!

My first card features the gorgeous classic poinsettia from the Poisenttia Combo. These flowers are not only beautifully illustrated, but they are such a comfortable size to color! It is great for all styles and coloring mediums.

I went for a clean and simple style here and colored my image with copic markers. I created a window with the Nesting Hexagons Die and added some ombre ink blending behind it. I heat embossed all the sentiments and overlaid it over the flower. I added a few enamel dots and ink splatter for interest.

Happy gnomes! Oh yes, I love, love, love this set. Not only is it such an adorable holiday set illustrated by Liz Mytinger, but the flora and fauna images lends itself so well for scenes! I brought out my pastel colors and gave it a fun untraditional spin! I used copic markers to color all my images and some complimentary ink blending to bring it all out.

There are no sentiments in the stamp set so I reaced for the Classic Holiday Sentiments stamp set to help me out here. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto the background.

These silly bunch of sheep are back and they are ready to get merry! This card features the new Fa-la-la stamp set and Liz Mytinger surprises us again with another adorable holiday stamp set.

I colored my image here with copic markers and gave it an ink blended background heat embossed with several sentiments in the stamp set to make it look like all the sheep are yelling different holiday greetings!

This month we bring you the newest of the oversized sentiment series, Oversized Peace. This large sentiment die cut always look beautiful in gold mirror cardstock and I definitely needed to bring some bling to give this card some shine!

The background is made up of die cuts from the Holiday Lights Die. I die cut everything in white card stock and ink blended each of the light blubs with distress oxide inks. Alternatively if you want to make things easier, you can also die cut out of color card stock. But where’s the fun in that?

Note: Due to the popularity of this release, many of the items are temporarily out of stock. The good news is that all stamps will be restocked around July 9th and all dies will be restocked around July 21st. However, if you wish to order immediately, you can also find all products available at Simon Says Stamp and other retailers!
