It’s been a little while since the last release, and I’m excited as you are to share the new Destination: Summer Collection! Where do I even start? There’s so many wonderful things to show you!
This card features two new stamp sets, Budding Beauties: Summer and Sprinkled with Kindness! We finally have our fourth season to complete the Budding Beauties collection and set has daisies, peonies, and hydrangeas. I used the daisies here to fill up this adorable watering can that is from Sprinkled with Kindness. Another adorable container to arrange our flowers!
I kept a simple layout for the card. I used the largest of the Postal Frames Die and masked off the edge and ink blended with Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I then masked off the bottom to create a rectangular area where I ink blended Pumice Stone distress oxide ink to give the watering can a surface to sit. The sentiment used here comes from the Just Mason Around stamp set, and I backed this against a light gray cardstock that I also stamped with Fresh Floral Background stamp to add a little bit of interest.
The peonies from Budding Beauties: Summer really gave me the vintage vibes so I decided to go with the flow and create something vintage! This floral arrangement also includes the Petite Eucalyptus which is perfect to give that bouquet a little extra grandeur. I “tied” the bouquet together with the string die cut from Fit to Be Tied.
I created this vintage background by using the Pretty Postmarks stamp set and blending it with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress oxide inks. I have reached for the stamp set so many times, I have lost count! It creates such a romatic vintage feel and I love I can just stamp with the flow, using second and third generation stamping to create variation to the background. Let’s not forget to add some splatter and water droplets!
For the sentiment, I used the Sentiment Starters Die to die cut out the word ‘with’ out of gold mirror card stock and a couple more times out of white card stock to layer it with. The ‘LOVE’ is stamped and die cut out using the Alphabuds Slim set.
This last one is my favorite and easiest one to make! This card features the Print Shop: Peachy Keen collection! These Print Shop series have easily won me over the first time I saw them. They are not only easy to work with and make beautiful cards with little effort, but I love the ability to ink blend over stamping because I just get that gorgeous variation in color on the image! Look at those pretty peaches with hints of soft pink, orange, and light brown.
The background is fully made with a combination of stencil ink blending and stamping. I then used the Just Peachy Die Collection to die cut the word ‘peachy’ with its halo frame, ink blending the word in Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks to match the blue flowers in my background. I then heat embossed ‘hoping your day is’ using the Just Peachy Sentiments stamp set in gold onto light kraft card stock and trimmed it down to a strip to add above the ‘peachy’.
Isn’t this just perfect for summer? I hope kiwis make it onto the list for future Print Shop designs! I just love these!
