Mama Elephant July 2020 Release Stampede

Oh what?? A Mama Elephant release in June?  Every year, Mama Elephant takes a summer break, but this year we are having a fun Creative Cuts mini release featuring some really great die must-haves for scene building and layouts that can really enhance your already awesome collection of Mama Elephant products. So get ready, you’ll be seeing a lot of awesome favorites and classics stamp sets mixed in with the fun new dies from this month’s release!

This card features the new slimline die called Slim Window Dressings. I used the window dies to create this tall apartment-like building with all the kitties and mice playing around. The windows are made of 3 layers, the background, the curtains, and window pane frame. I lightly ink blended the background, used some simple pattern paper for the curtains, and die cut the frame out of white card stock.

I cut a piece of white card stock to a size 3.5″ by 8.5″ and used a brick pattern stencil to gently ink blend Antique Linen, Pumice Stone, and Victorian Velvet distress oxide inks. I also die cut the flower box with color card stock and white card stock. I used copic markers to add color and details to these cuts, and then assembled the layers together. I also used the grass edge die from this set to die cut out the grass with green card stock.

Let’s not forget about coloring up the critters! These images are from the My Pet Kitties stamp set. I colored all the images were copic markers and used the matching Creative Cuts to die cut all the images out.

I heat embossed the sentiment vertically on the right side the card in silver. Then, I added all my playful kitties and mice into the scene with foam tape. Such a cute and happy scene!
