Clearly Besotted: August Release Countdown Day 1

The Clearly Besotted August Release is just around the corner and today is the first day of the countdown! I wanted to start the countdown with something sweet and simple, and these adorable little dancing dancing penguins is just that.

These penguins and rainbows are from a set called Pirouette Plushies and they just the cutest! I stamped them in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. I decided to go with softer, earthier tones than your usual bright rainbows and colored my little penguins in pink and blue. I use a ScanNCut 2 to cut out all my images.

I created a soft blended background that continued the sweet look of these penguins. I used a cloud stencil and ink blended with Stormy Sky and Victorian Velvet distress oxide inks. The combination of these inks give you that soft purple tone. I then die cut the background with a simple scallop large rectangle.

I added my rainbows and my little penguins on each cloud with foam tape. I then die cut a small little speech bubble out of pink card stock and heat embossed the small sentiment ‘you’re tutu sweet’ right on it. I added this little message to the left of one of the penguins to complete the card.
