After I stamped the penguin tree from Oh Penguin Tree in a dark brown hybrid ink, I decided I wanted to do a more colorful take on the penguins rather than the expected black or gray combination. Once colored, I then used the Oh Penguin Tree CC to die cut out the image.
After coloring the penguins, I was inspired to create a background that matched it in colors, so I ink blended a galaxy like background with Broken China, Wilter Violet, and Victorian Velvet distress oxide inks. I then die cut it with the Snail Mail CC so that I can turn it into a full panel shaker card.
In the inside panel, I heat embossed a sentiment from Mixed Holiday Greeting in the top right corner. I then adhered this onto my base card and surrounded it with foam tape. I added circle clear sequins to make it look like snow and then added a layer of acetate to seal it all in. I then added my outer frame back into position and the penguins above that. And that completes the card!
