Yay! It’s time to celebrate with Mama Elephant for their October 2020 Release! This month we continue to craft with winter themed products that are wonderfully versatile sets for the season.
Today I’ll be showcasing a slimline scene card created with the new Aida Zamora illustrated set called Dashin’ Thru the Snow. This darling set brings together so many cute critters, simply enjoying a day out in the snow. Just stamping and coloring these up just brings me so much joy!
I stamped and colored all the images with copic markers, and used a white gel pen for some light detailing. I then used the matching Creative Cuts to die cut each of the images out.
I love creating snowy backgrounds, and the Slim Woodland Creative Cuts makes it even more fun! I die cut the woodland frame out of white card stock, and gently blended in Broken China and Tumbled Glass distress oxides to enhance the colors of the slopes.
The background was created with an ink blend of Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac distress oxide inks. I gave it a heavy splatter of white acrylic paint to add the showy texture. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and built my scene with my colored critter images, added on with foam tape.
This post is part of the Mama Elephant October Stampede! To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to win!
Each action qualifies for one entry, max 4 entries per stampeder please!
Now let’s get on with the Stampede with the rest of our designers!
