Clearly Besotted: Wonderful Wishes

Today is release day with Clearly Besotted! They have such an sweet and adorable bundle of sets this month that you should definitely check out and will be available in their shop and Simon Says Stamp at 8pm GMT (UK) time or is also 12pm PST. I also really wanted to share with you a card I made today to showcase the Wonderful Wishes stamp set from this release!

I stamped all my images in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. You can then fussy cut the images out, or if you have a Scan N Cut like me, you can use that to cut it out for you. Just in case, I drew in pencil lines around the dandelions to make sure the Scan N Cut didn’t cut through them on accident.

I don’t always have an exact layout planned until after I color the images, and as I was trying out different arrangements, it just felt right to make this scene a tall slimline. I stamped the bundled of flowers on the background, colored it up with copic markers and then ink blended on the same piece. I used Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, and Tumbled Glass for the skies and Bundled Sage for the ground. I then used a slimline scallop die to cut this out.

I wanted to also added some clouds to the sky by blending white pigment ink over a homemade cloud stencil. However if you don’t have one, there are many out there like this one that can come in handy if you like this technique.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project and check out this release! Thanks so much for stopping by!
