Helloooo! I hope ya’ll been doing well. I know I’ve been a little absent lately as I navigate through a rough time in my life, but no worries, I’m fine and still here to bring you the latest and greatest collection from The Greetery called Spring Fever! I gotta say working in lots of pastels this month just brings me so much joy and happiness and I’m excited to finally share these projects with you.
Starting with something pretty clean and simple is a slimline card designed with the new Bunny Hop Stamp + Stencil Combo and Put A Bow On It Stamp Set! I used the Bunny Hop stencil as more of a backdrop and repeated the ink blending stamping for that three times across panel.
What’s a slimline? Well it’s a card size that fits in a #10 envelope! The common dimension all the dies that are typically released is off of a 3.5″ x 8.5″ dimension, and that’s the exact dimension of my card here. (You’ll here more details about the slimline die tomorrow!)
The focal point here is the Put A Bow On It Stamp Set and Die. This is a two-step image that gives you several sentiment options that stamps right on that left ribbon. It can be used for various occasions, and I’ve used it here for this ‘happy spring’ card. I added a few gems around it to finish up the card.
This next card showcases the new BotaniCuts Carrot Die, PreText Sentiments Stamp Set, PreText Banner Die, and the Let’s Have A Word: Spring Die. I die cut all the carrot pieces out of white cardstock first and ink blended each piece with distress oxide colors.
I’m still following through with pink and purple pastel theme going on in my projects and so I ink blended a background that I die cut using the slimline die with Shaded Lilac and Victorian Velvet distress oxide inks. I die cut the word ‘Spring’ out of purple cardstock.
I heat embossed the sentiment phrase from PreText Sentiments Stamp Set in silver and die cut it with one of the fishtail banners from PreText Banner Dies. These are great staples that I definitely seeing myself re-using over and over in future projects!
I saved my favorite card today for last! This one features the BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix Dies. This is probably my favorite BotaniCuts to date. I die cut some flowers out of pink cardstock and some out of purple cardstock, The stems are die cut out of green cardstock. I then did some light ink blending on the stems to add some my depth to the colors and copic markers on the flowers.
Do you remember the Balloon Bouquet Stamp Set? I took inspiration from this stamp set and recreated this floral balloon by using the die cuts instead! I die cut a window out gray cardstock using the largest of the Big Balloons Die. This gray piece was also stamped with the Ticker Tape Background Stamp in a darker gray ink to give a subtle tone on tone look. Behind the window is my white cardbase with a little bit of ink blending with Victorian Velvet distress oxide showing through the window.
I added all my die cut wildflowers in the window and carefully cut small pieces of foam tape behind the flowers so that it had some dimension. I also used gems for the center of some of the flowers. Doesn’t it just look so precious? The sentiment is from the Balloon Bouquet Stamp Set and was heat embossed in white. What do ya think?
Hope you enjoyed all the inspiration today! If you haven’t already, stop on by the Greetery Blog for more details and inspiration. You can also find more projects from my fellow team members listed below:
