It’s time for some fun with the Little Kangaroo Agenda! In this recent Mama Elephant release, there’s also a new die called the Matchbox Builder CC that I’ll be showcasing here with create these adorable mini scenes. After so many 6 years of making A2 sized cards, I really enjoy creating other types of projects and card sizes.

So the Matchbox Builder CC creates exactly what its named…a matchbox! But what makes this so fun is that you can use the inside of the matchbox to create a mini diaroma like scene and this die set gives you several pieces to make that happen easily! So let’s start with the cover or wrap first. I die cut that with some pattern paper and the scallop piece out of white card stock. I then masked off the scallop edges and ink blended it with Tumbled Glass and Speckled Egg distress oxde colors. I stamped sentiments from the the Marine Friends stamp set.

I stamped and colored several images from the Little Kangaroo Agenda stamp set and used the matching Little Kangaroo Agenda CC to die cut them out. I also used the Matchbox Builder CC to die cut all the various scenic pieces for my scene with various cardstock scraps. I created two different variations, and in this first one pictured above, I built my scene as the die intended. I added some tiny red heart charms.

The second variation of my matchbox scene was very much inspired by Megan Quinn, another talented designer on our team. She created a scene that lifted up from the box which I absolutely loved, so I created this version of it using an easel card concept. You can find many videos on Youtube on how to create an easel card. I just used the same idea in a smaller scale here.

After all the scenes are done, tuck them back in to the wrappers that were decorated early and now it’s ready for a recipient!
