The Mama Elephant Urban City stamp set is one big, amazing background stamp designed by Kryssi! I love all the little details in this set, and really reminds me of San Francisco back in the days when I lived in the Bay Area. But, I guess you can say this could probably bring anyone back to a very packed city!
My initial thought of the background image is that it would look great just stamped as is. But I got the rainbow bug this month and I thought, let’s do a bit of simple coloring on this, shall we? I had my copic markers still out from working on the rainbow coloring I just did for the Little Unicorn Agenda, so I just started rotating through the colors as I colored each building. It took a bit of time, but it went by pretty quickly as I was watching tv.
I wanted to build a scene out of this but also let this colorful background remain the focal point, so I picked out the Happy Mail stamp set to add my little panda delivery truck! I continued to use this stamp set, heat embossing in white the beautiful handlettered sentiment ‘happy mail’ on the top portion of the card. Below it I also heat embossed in white on blue card stock a smaller sentiment from the Urban City stamp set that was then added just below.
Continuing this postal theme, I added a frame from the Snail Mail CC with foam tape underneath, and lastly the colored images of the pandas to complete this card. Hope you enjoy today’s inspiration!
