Today is the last day of the countdown of the Clearly Besotted June Release and we’re just a few hours away from these products going live in the Clearly Besotted store and at Simon Says Stamp at 12pm PST! Of course I have to send you off with another inspiration from the release and I share with you a card using the mini stamp set called I Pick You Additions.
Strawberry is my favorite fruit. I love everything strawberry flavored and eating strawberries by itself too. I’m excited for the upcoming strawberry season when its most ripe and delicious! I stamped and colored up all the strawberry related images from this stamp with copic markers and used my Scan N Cut to cut out all the images.
Seeing the strawberry jam gave me the country vibes and so I thought this scene would pair perfectly with some blue plaid pattern paper. I used it as the top and bottom sections of the card and left a slim center for this strawberry picking scene. The background was ink blended with Faded Jeans and Tea Dye distress oxide inks.
I added a ground layer die cut with a cloud die to resemble the dirt in the strawberry field, but I had too many images that it pretty much covered that detail sadly. But nevertheless, the scene came out as cute as it can be and I just wish I was amongst them to eat all those delicious strawberries! The sentiment used comes from the I Pick You stamp set, heat embossed in white on kraft card stock and then cut into a pennant shape and added to the top left corner.
