Welcome back to another reveal day with The Greetery showcasing the new Christmas Time collection! And it’s “time” to immerse ourselves in all things that make the winter season absolutely magical.
I grew up near the city, so when I think of Christmas time I think of the makeshift ice rinks that are installed in parking lots or parks (cause we don’t really have snow in here) and all the Christmas trees and decor that go up in the malls and shopping centers. I used the Christmas Time in the City Die to recreate this iconic city holiday scene in beautiful Hourglass Frame Die and Houglass Insert Die for a shaped shaker card.
I love using gold mirror card when it comes to die cutting pieces that have a lot of details to them. The background was ink blended with Black Soot, Evergreen Bough, and Old Paper distress oxide inks. The shaker was filled with flat snowflake and circle shaped sequins. And the sentiment comes from the Opposites Attract Holiday stamp set and I used both the Opposites Attract Holiday the Opposites Attract Holiday Script dies to die cut the words out.
This next card showcases the Curio: Attic Ornaments Die. This die die cuts outs several adorable ornaments that fit inside the Curio collection. I have used it here in a simple cluster to display all these ornaments that I either ink blended or copic colored and embellished with gold accents and pearls!
I created a few layers for the background. The back layer was stamped with the Painterly Stripes Background Stamp in red to match the red accents of the card. The smaller background was ink blended with the same distress oxide colors mentioned in the previous card. I once again used the Opposites Attract Holiday stamp set for my sentiment because I just love this set, and completed the card with a little extra pearl accents.
The release will be available in the shop tomorrow Thursday, October 7th at 10am EDT! For more information and inspiration of the Christmas Time Collection check out the Greetery blog along with the rest of the design team linked below.
